something's fishy |
My theory on housework is,
if the item doesn't multiply, smell, catch fire,
or block the refrigerator door, let it be.
No one else cares. Why should you?
'something's fishy' is part of my 'home sweet home'* series and my contribution to this year's Attleboro Arts Museum's annual auction.
I am so honored to be asked to support this jewel of an institute.
Click here for more information about the museum and auction, click here for the bidding site and click here for my art blog which explains a bit more.
Also this Saturday will be the live auction. I went last year and it was awesome!!! The Attleboro Arts Museum’s Benefit Art Auction is a Museum tradition – supported by hundreds of artists, donors, area businesses and art lovers alike. It is the Museum’s most important fundraiser and vital to the continued growth of our organization and arts programming in our region.
Auction: Saturday, November 2nd. Doors open at 5:30pm. Attleboro Arts Museum, 86 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.$35 in advance, $40 at the door (includes hors d’oeuvers, wine and beer).
*In her 'home sweet home' series, Fitzgerald is challenging the ‘picture perfect’ life portrayed by magazines, catalogs and the media. She takes the photograph of one of these Utopian settings and adds some surrealistic details then adds the empty, hanging dress symbolizing the emptiness of the pursuit of this idealistic life.
